I can’t believe Andrew is 5 months old already. Time flies when you’re having fun. This is what he has been up to this month.
We started cereal and he seems to like it. He gets it 1-2 times a day. If we feed him, give him cereal and give him a bath before he goes to bed, he sleeps through the night. The first night he did that I think I was up more, checking on him and making sure he was ok. But now I am enjoying a continuous night’s sleep. He sits in his booster chair to eat and thinks he is a big boy now.
He even thinks he can feed himself and wash his face when he is done.
But he can hold his own bottle.
Aaron’s sister and her family had a Rockband party one Saturday that we went to. Even Andrew got dressed up in his rocker outfit. (I saw this shirt at Old Navy and couldn't resist.)
While we were visiting Aaron’s sister, they gave us a toy walker that their kids outgrew. Aaron has been teaching Andrew how to stand and walk. Andrew loves to stand and sit. He has not rolled over yet and still hates tummy time, but he scoots everywhere on his back and is a wiggly boy.
Andrew is also teething and always has his hands or something in his mouth. We are in the processes of taking his pacifier away. It has become a toy to him and he really doesn't need it or use it, so we figure let’s get rid of it.
I took Andrew into the pediatrician’s office where I work today and weighed and measured him. Here are his stats:
Height: 26 in. (60%)
Weight: 18 lbs 6 ozs (90%) (with his clothes and a cloth diaper, so he may weigh a little less).
Head Circ: 43 cm (75%)
The weather has been so nice here the past few days, so we have been going for walks after lunch. We have a walking path that goes throughout the neighborhood and Andrew loves being in his stroller and looking at everything.
