Andrew’s Blessing

Sunday we had Andrew blessed.  It was great to have my grandparents, Aaron’s parents  and my parents here for the blessing.  Aaron gave Andrew a wonderful blessing. We are so grateful to have Andrew in our family.

Aaron’s parents bought Andrew his baby blessing outfit.  He looked so handsome in it.

1 month old

Today Andrew is 1 month old!  We can’t believe he has been with us for a month already.  He is doing great.  I had a meeting at work last week so I weighed him and he was 9 lbs 12 ounces (including clothes and cloth diaper).  He is a good eater and cannot believe he has gained a pound already.  He is starting to have better head control, focus on more things and become more interactive.  I think we are almost on a schedule but still working on sleeping at night (which I know can be a work in progress for quite awhile).

It’s Football Saturday

Cougar football is officially upon us. Our friends, the McLains, invited us to go to the WSU versus Southern Methodist University game today. This was Andrew’s first Cougar game and we all had a great time.

A new toy

This past Monday, we decided we needed a swing.   Andrew is still getting use to it and would rather be held, but it is nice when I want to get something done.

A Baby Shower

This was a long awaited baby shower and worth the wait.  My friend Tjay had planned a baby shower for us on August 1st, but I was admitted that weekend for monitoring of the baby and my blood pressure so we had to reschedule.  Since we didn't know when Andrew was coming, we decided to wait till he was here and he could join the party.

We played the game where you find the matching words and win candy that corresponds to that word.  Any game where you can win candy is good in my book.  Tjay knows what a fan of Friends I am, so she entitled the game “It is not a girl,” based on the episode where Pheobe was in charge of welcome home signs for Ross, Rachel and Emma.

All the girls who came (plus Andrew of course).

Even the grandmas made it.  Aaron’s mom spent the week with us last week helping out and it was so great having her here.  Thanks Robyn for everything!

Just some fun pictures from the party.  Of course Andrew slept through the whole thing and then woke up after everyone had left.  We had a great time.
