Up

Up is a tough movie to review. I would say that it was a fine movie.

Up contains a lot of things, some of which are the main focus of the movie, that young married couples, like me and Janel, don’t want to think about at this time of our lives, being unable to bear children, death of a spouse, and mistreatment of the elderly. Does that make sense? The movie is just too sad! Maybe I wasn’t expecting a sad movie so I went into the theater with different expectations than what I should have. But if I had of known it was so sad, I might not have gone.

Up does have some good moments. I enjoyed the talking dog seen in the trailers. He was pretty funny, but it wasn’t enough. The story was ok, but nothing epic.

I would recommend you Netflix or matinee it. Worth a watch, but a cheaper watch.

The Presto Pizzazz Pizza Oven

With six Zs in its name you know it’s got to be good. I got this from my parents for my birthday. It was quite the surprise. I called Janel up right away and had her stop and buy a frozen pizza 7 to 12 inches big so I could test it out.

The bottom line is that it works great! And you get a kitchen appliance just for pizza!

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Monday was Aaron's birthday, but we had the pleasure of celebrating it all weekend long.

Saturday Aaron and I went to Lewiston to celebrate his birthday by going to Home Depot (what man doesn't love that place?!), saw Star Trek and Red Lobster for dinner.

Sunday, we went out to my parents house for a birthday dinner. My brother's birthday is on Wednesday so we had a double party. We had a Hawaiian theme dinner with chicken, rice, fresh fruit and smoothies and pineapple upside down cake for dessert.

Monday, we had friends over for pizza and ice cream cake, and a little Rock Band was played. Everyone had a great time! Happy Birthday Aaron!

Aaron's Trip to L.A.

Aaron's group at work got a call from a customer in L.A. who had questions about their products.  His group flew out the next morning on one of SEL's corporate jets and were on their way.  They took a tour of the facility and answered all their questions and then flew back that afternoon.  The company would not let him take any pictures while in L.A.. Apparently, it is a hush hush kind of company (in case competitors are reading this blog).  Janel had fun at work telling all her coworkers, "yeah, my husband is in L.A. on business for the day."  (I think she was slightly jealous.)
